Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, from the novella Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson Directed by John Brooks of North Carolina.
This adaptation is a new and shocking version of this classic tale of depravity, lust, love and horror. On the fog-bound streets of Victorian-era London, Henry Jekyll's experiments with exotic "powders and tinctures" have brought forth his other self—Edward Hyde, a sensualist and villain free to commit the sins Jekyll is too civilized to comprehend. When Hyde meets a woman who stirs his interest, Jekyll fears for her life and decides to end his experiments. But Hyde has other ideas, and so the two sides battle each other in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse to determine who shall be the master and who his slave. With multiple Hydes portrayed by members of the cast. Performances: October 18 – November 3, 2013 at Teatro Wego! Murder at Café Noir
By David Landau
Directed by “Uncle” Wayne Daigrepont
This 1940’s detective story comes to life as Rick Archer, Private Eye, seeks a curvaceous runaway on the forgotten island of Mustique, a place stuck in an era of black and white cinema. The owner of the Cafe Noir has washed ashore and Rick, whose quarry was the last person seen with him employs his hard-boiled talents to find the killer. Was it the French club manager Madame Tureau, or the voodoo priestess, the shyster British attorney, the black marketer, or the femme fatale? The audience votes twice on what they want Rick to do next. These decisions change the flow and determine the ending of this comic tribute to the Bogart era. Performances: January 24 – February 9, 2014 at Teatro Wego! (177 Sala Ave. Westwego, LA 70094) and February 14 – 23, 2013 (Northshore, TBA)

JPAS Conservatory for the Performing Arts Presents
Grease by Jim Casey and Warren Jacobs
Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'", "It's Raining on Prom Night" and "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An 8-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals.
Performances: March 21 – March 30, 2014 at Jefferson Performing Arts Center (400 Phlox St.  Metairie, LA 70001)
Times: Friday at 7:30PM, Saturday at 7:30PM and Sunday at 3:00PM
